Cyberpunk 2077 Romance Guide

Cyberpunk 2077 Romance Guide

We don’t need to hide it — one of the most exciting features of an RPG is romance, especially when our potential suitors have some story and personality to them. Cyberpunk 2077 most certainly offers complex characters with special preferences and places in the world as romance options for you to get heavily invested in. If someone romanceable in the game catches your attention with attractive looks and personality, you can certainly expect to be taken on a dramatic, intimate adventure.

But will that character be interested in you? Can you make your relationship last? Cyberpunk 2077‘s characters will have preferences towards a body type, and there will certainly be character aspects and actions that will turn them off. That’s why we compiled all of the available information to guide you towards and through your romantic journey.

Warning: This guide is based on the in-progress information available before the official release of the game. The guide will be updated as more information becomes available.

In this guide we will discuss some basics of the romance system, and if you would rather explore your romantic interest’s story on your own you can stop reading after the “Romance in Cyberpunk 2077” section. After all, we don’t want to ruin the intended impression of these characters as real people and the fun that comes from it.

Still, if you want to know all of your options and make sure to take the correct steps with your chosen character, read on!

Romance in Cyberpunk 2077

Not much is known about the Romance System in Cyberpunk 2077 as of yet. We will update this section as soon as more information becomes available.

Here is what we know, with a little bit of community speculation: CD Projekt Red aimed to make the Romance system as realistic as possible, with little to no exact feedback on romance “points” your actions are scoring with a particular character as your relationship progresses.

Cyberpunk 2077 Romance System Characters

Based on former interviews with the developers, each character will come with a story and/or a complication for you to resolve in order to become closer with them. Your Life Path, other quest choices, and Stats could influence the outcomes. On top of all that remember that each character will have a body (sex) type: in other worlds they could be a lesbian, a bi, a gay, or even have an nonstandard preference in that regard.

Characters You Can Romance

Meredith Stout

(Officially confirmed)

Do you remember a corporate agent that ruthlessly knocks you onto the ground in one of the earlier gameplay demos? “Thought you could blackmail me, bitch?!” Yes, that’s her.

Cyberpunk 2077 Meredith Stout Romance

Our feisty lady is a higher-up corporate who certainly learned how to earn her place and how to keep it. She is not about to gently hold hands with you — in fact, she will probably use you towards her end goal and get rid of you as soon as possible. Based on community speculations, it probably will be easier to approach her from the angle of the Corporate Life Path, since you might have an option to call her behavior out and generally start on a more equal footing.

If cold and ruthless perks your interest, Meredith is definitely going to be an interesting character to pursue.

Evelyn Parker

(Spotted by those who played the pre-release build, no official confirmation available)

We don’t know that much about Evelyn, her tastes, and her story at this point. You will meet her inside the Lizzie’s bar and attempt to relive her experiences through a Braindance session.

Cyberpunk 2077 Evelyn Parker Romance

She is clearly an intelligent lady and her aspirations often put her into interesting situations. Her deal with Dexter DeShawn within the same heist you are assigned to becomes the reason for you to meet her, and Evelyn immediately gives you an opportunity to turn the mission around by leaving Dexter out of the deal. Her affiliation with the Mox gang (based on the Lizzie’s bar) will complicate the matters even further.

If you are all about mystery and intrigue, Evelyn will certainly have something to offer you… and much more.

Judy Alvarez

(Officially confirmed)

Judy will be the lady you will meet at Lizzie’s bar as one of the prominent members of the Mox and in charge of the Braindance suite. She is known for her expertise around illicit BDs and she will show you how to get the information you need out of such footage.

Cyberpunk 2077 Judy Alvarez Romance

She will sound clearly excited about the scenes you will be exploring and her expertise in the matter will immediately shine through. Yet, when the experience gets a little too much for you she will remain patient and understanding of your reaction. This, combined with Judy’s attractive looks, could make you interested in her very early into your story.

However, what we know about the game from those who got a chance to test it implies that Judy might have an exclusive preference for female sex (only a female character was able to flirt with her successfully). This information has not been confirmed.

More complex romanceable characters? So straight people aren’t complex?

I won’t speak for Mila, but as I see it: It’s not that straight people aren’t complex as people, it’s just that their sexual preferences are by definition not complicated!

Jim Harrison

I looked up the definition and what you said was definitely not there. On a more serious note, are you really going to tell me that Romeo and Juliet isn’t a complex romance? Just because they are straight? Also don’t exclamation point me. There’s no need to shout at me.

Daniel Downey

Hey Jim, I’m sorry you interpreted my enthusiastic exclamation mark as shouting, it’s just how I write sometimes(!). I am in no way making statements about the complexity of any sort of romance; the initial question was how “complex” a given character’s sexual preferences may or may not be.

A strictly straight person, or a strictly homosexual person, has straightforward sexual preferences: they like a specific gender. Someone else might have what you could call more ‘complex’ sexual preferences, for example someone who is primarily heterosexual but are also attracted to specific kinds of people of their gender as well. I think that’s all that was meant by the initial use of the word complex.

I would agree that anyone can be as simple or as complex as anyone else, and can have romances that are simple or complex, no matter their orientation, gender, or anything else.

Jim Harrison

Hey thanks for the long well thought out reply. There’s no need to apologize. I’m just tired of people thinking I’m not complex because I’m a straight man. Anywho did you create this site? It’s incredible. I seriously thought I was on an official Cyberpunk 2077 website. Great job.

Like always? Dragon Age Inquisition had 3 females vs 5 male as romances. That’s a whole lotta sausage lol.
